Set and filmed in Liverpool, This City is Ours is the story of Michael, a man who for all of his adult life has been involved in organised crime, working for his friend and the gang leader Ronnie. When Ronnie begins to hint at retirement, Michael too begins to imagine another life. Because, for the first time in his life, Michael is in love. For the first time in his life, he sees beyond the day-to-day, he sees a future: something to win and something to lose - Diana.

　　本剧讲述了兄妹俩的父亲贵司作为警察在工作中被人杀害，不久后，他们得知犯人是日本最大级别的特殊诈骗组织“幻兽”的干部后，两人决定为父报仇。哥哥渡良濑贵一曾是警察，充满正义感和行动力，妹妹渡良濑优贵是国立大学的工程师，也是优秀的白帽黑客。两人利用各自的特长潜入组织，与巨恶对峙。

　　在江湖打滚多年的老千翟冠一(陈展鹏饰)，被师父司徒省(潘志文饰)召唤，与六位同门何正花(林夏薇饰)、伍柏义(陈山聪饰)、丁权(林子善饰)、李亨(徐荣饰)、吴世峰(黄长兴饰)及苏丽芬(赵希洛饰)一起观战，见证司徒省与骏昇娱乐城老板赌王霍骏昇(单立文饰)的一场世纪之战。这一战让冠一上了一课：「无情才是赢家」!
　　赌王之战完结后，「千门七杰」到娱乐城出任不同岗位，为危机四伏的娱乐城找出内奸。
　　冠一与正花因是次任务被逼朝夕相对，二人本是情侣，还发展至差点结婚的地步，可是冠一曾为得赌王冠军出卖正花，自此二人各不相干。
　　七人当中，冠一跟精通魔术的柏义合作多年，甚有默契，情同手足。冠一等人缩窄调查范围，深入调查与骏昇情同手足的助手林磊(黄子雄饰)，及骏昇的情人知己丘月华(陈秀珠饰)。
　　千头万绪，众人赫然发现另一条与骏昇及林磊有关的线索。原来娱乐城当年由骏昇、林磊与蒋天龙(吴岱融饰)建立，天龙是三人中的大哥，但已失踪多年，生死未卜，而骏昇亦是因天龙的失踪才成为娱乐城的主人。
