　　The show follows Gemma (Aimee Lou Wood), who lives for the weekend when she can get blasted and party hard in Stockport, Manchester. But after joining the mile high club with a random hook-up on her way back from a holiday to Portugal, she's pregnant, and it couldn't come at a worse time.
　　The only person Gemma has left in her life is her dad Malcolm (David Morrissey), who is kind hearted but useless – he can't load a washing machine, boil an egg or change the Wi-Fi password. Malcolm is suffering from the collapse of his family and living in a bedsit for divorced men.
　　Which is how Gemma and her dad end up living in Gemma's flat. She needs support at a critical time in a woman's life, he needs help microwaving rice without it exploding.
　　At its heart Daddy Issues is a classic odd couple comedy about two funny, deeply flawed characters, who just happen to be father and daughter. Along the way there will be dating disasters and failed romances, toxic friendships and messy family dynamics, plus a dangerously sociopathic antenatal teacher.

　　故事围绕着3对不同婚龄的夫妻，三对夫妻的婚姻关系都因宠物的介入有所变化。崇良（张奕恺饰）与雯豫（周智慧饰）是一对新婚夫妻，但两人之间总有一只小三，就是与雯豫相伴十年的爱犬Kito。结婚七年的嘉男（蔡琦慧饰）与毅杰（谢俊峰饰）因领养了一只流浪狗Picasso竟加剧了夫妻间的矛盾。老 夫妻自光和美岚（林茹萍饰）的生活早已是寡淡无味。直到Picasso的介入，两人的婚姻才再度掀起涟漪。

　　帕拉恰克（杰西达邦·福尔迪 Tik Jesdaporn Pholdee 饰）尽管出生于名门望族，但他的家族正面临着日益衰落的窘境。帕拉恰克的弟弟是一个赌鬼，嗜赌成性的他欠下了大笔债务无力偿还，索性玩起了失踪。身为哥哥的帕拉恰克无奈之下只得亲自出面，收拾弟弟留下的烂摊子。
　　债主向帕拉恰克提出了一个可以令债务一笔勾销的条件，那就是让后者迎娶自己的女儿瓦妮达（泰莎昂·派索克乔纶 Taksaorn Paksukjaroen 饰），尽管此时帕拉恰克已经有了一个即将踏入婚姻殿堂的未婚妻，但迫于现实的无奈，他还是答应了这个条件。债主告诉瓦妮达，帕拉恰克是因为爱上了她才会娶她为妻，天真的瓦妮达相信了这个谎言，满心喜悦的等待着属于她的新婚之夜。

　　拉瓦的母亲把他送到海边和他年轻的叔叔住在一起，他马上开始工作。一天，他发现一个人被冲上了岸。在医院里，Wut医生诊断出这个人患有健忘症，他的叔叔自愿将Lava作为他的看护人。熔岩命名他为波，并重新分配他所有的职责给陌生人。Wave对体力劳动的挑剔和无能令人惊讶，暗示着它过去的骄纵。
　　Lava's mother sends him to live with his young uncle by the beach and he's immediately put to work. One day, he finds a man washed up on the shore. At the hospital, Dr. Wut diagnoses the man with amnesia and his uncle volunteers Lava as his caretaker. Lava names him Wave and reassigns all his duties to the stranger. Wave is surprisingly fussy and inept at manual labor, hinting at a pampered past.

　　Love is a poison, intoxicating the hearts. Yet, in the end, it's poisonous love that makes the hearts race.
　　“你的未婚夫让我的朋友怀孕了。”Prem医生（Ginny饰）在自己期待已久的婚礼上，听到了来自反派女演员Pat（Jayna饰）带来的惊人消息，她的人生就此改变。
